English Oak Framed Conservatory

Project Summary

This project required an extended, practically lit living space which would be in keeping with the existing house for a new family.

We drew up designs, floorplans and then submitted planning permission documents at the outset to ensure that approval was received in a timely fashion.

We created a traditional timber frame structure, installed Floor to ceiling Double glazed windows in beautiful wooden frames to maximise the feeling of space and light and to also help naturally heat the space along with underfloor heating to assist in the economically minded build.

To continue the light theme we used lime mortar rather than concrete which also ensures that the building looks clean and light for many years to come.

A large opening from the existing house through to the new space using a timber lintel to assist in the continuity of the two buildings was put in and in the ceiling, laminated glass which prevents glare & gives an opaque outward view was installed.
