Traditional reclaimed timber home office

Project Summary

We were commissioned to build a large, living & working space that would be in keeping with the existing house and grounds.

We designed and planned sympathetically and submitted planning permission ourselves to ensure the project started as quickly and smoothly as possible.

We designed a large Single storey building with a vaulted ceiling that housed a light and spacious open plan home office incorporating bathroom and kitchen adjoining.

As this was going to be used year round we heavily insulated from floor to ceiling and added reclaimed wood framed, double glazed windows.  Experimental external insulation under the roof tiles for maximum heat retention was added which has worked out incredibly well.

To complete the traditional look and feel throughout, we were able to source reclaimed oak flooring using oak wood reclaimed from the Tate Gallery.

All pipework including drainage is contained in the concrete to keep the external design clean, also all plumbing & drainage works were completed in house by us.
